Bucksfield Asset Management Limited is seeking an exceptional, visionary, and commercially driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the strategic growth and transformation of its Asset Management business.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the Company, driving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth, profitability, fundraising, product development, stakeholder engagement, investment oversight, and regulatory compliance while positioning Bucksfield Asset Management as a leading asset and investment management firm in Nigeria.
The CEO will work closely with the Board, Executive Management Team, regulators, investors, and strategic partners to deliver sustainable growth, superior client outcomes, operational excellence, and long-term shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
• Develop and execute the Company’s strategic plan, growth agenda, and business objectives.
• Drive the achievement of Assets Under Management (AUM), revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
• Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, investment products, partnerships, and business expansion initiatives.
• Position Bucksfield Asset Management as a trusted investment partner for institutional investors, corporates, family offices, and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).
• Lead the development and execution of short, medium, and long-term growth strategies approved by the Board.
2. Fundraising, Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Drive fundraising initiatives and investment mobilization efforts across institutional, corporate, retail, and HNI segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, trustees, regulators, pension funds, development finance institutions, and strategic partners.
• Lead investor engagement and business development activities aimed at increasing AUM and strengthening market presence.
• Represent the Company at industry events, investor forums, stakeholder engagements, and strategic meetings.
3. Investment Oversight & Product Development
• Provide executive oversight of investment strategy, portfolio performance, risk management, and product development activities.
• Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee to ensure alignment between investment performance and client expectations.
• Champion the development and launch of innovative investment products and solutions that drive business growth and client value.
4. Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with SEC regulations, AML/KYC requirements, fiduciary responsibilities, and corporate governance standards.
• Maintain robust enterprise risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical business conduct across all operations.
• Provide regular updates and strategic reports to the Board on performance, opportunities, risks, and growth initiatives.
5. Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness
• Lead and develop a high-performing executive management team.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and client-centricity.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.
• Ensure operational efficiency, financial discipline, and sustainable business performance.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA, CFA, ACA, CIS, or other relevant professional qualifications will be a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience within Asset Management, Investment Management, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Capital Markets, Pension Fund Management, or Financial Services.
• Proven track record of executive leadership, fundraising, investor relations, business growth, and Assets Under Management (AUM) expansion.
• Demonstrated experience engaging institutional investors, HNIs, regulators, and strategic stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment management, risk management, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies including the SEC and other relevant stakeholders.
• SEC Sponsorship is an added advantage.
